PLANTING FRESH SEEDS Seminar Description
Resources, Opportunities and Inspiration for Women Farmers and Ecopreneurs
An underground yet significant revolution is erupting across rural America: women launching green businesses and leading the sustainable revitalization of our countryside. From farmers to fiber artists, from cheesemakers to innkeepers, women launching green businesses prioritize more than profit; they see their business as a tool to transform both local communities and the world, emphasizing cooperation over competition, meaning over simply earning a living, and, often, integrating their children and family into their livelihood. Learn about this rural women ecopreneur movement through inspiring stories, business start-up and marketing tools and opportunities to network and share ideas and resources.
The "PLANTING FRESH SEEDS: Resources, Opportunities and Inspiration for Women Farmers and Ecopreneurs" seminar brings together various tools, resources and networking opportunities for women passionate about improving our food and agriculture system, connecting both seasoned farmers and business owners with women launching new ventures.

About the Rural Women's Project
The Rural Women's Project (RWP) aims to increase the voice and impact of Wisconsin women ecopreneurs in the organic and sustainable farming and food community by providing networking, educational and media training opportunities. This program addresses the fact that women-owned businesses are growing at twice the national rate and women constitute the largest, fastest-growing group purchasing farms today. PLANTING FRESH SEEDS focuses on resources and networks to both promote this group within the media and provide tools and resources for success, especially in the increasingly challenging economic climate.
